How We Began... Joyous Years Youth Empowerment Program, JYYEP, is a non profit organization that was founded by Dr. Charles K. Barron, Jr. Dr. Barron recognized that the future of the community is held in the hands of our youth. He initially founded JYYEP because he was committed to giving back to the community by fostering learning and planting seeds for future medical professionals.
	Goals... Now his newly defined goal is to empower youth through leadership, mentoring, education and career guidance. This will be accomplished by partnering with community leaders and organizations. His goal is to promote excellence in all aspects of life by providing the resources to make better decisions.
